Its Panto Time………………. Tuesday 25th at the Great Western – All Cast and Backstage Crew Called
The first rehearsal of the Panto will take place on Tuesday 25th at the Great Western. Please try to arrive as soon after 7.15 as you can for a 7.30 start (Oh yes it will)
This rehearsal is for everyone involved – ALL Principal Cast, Chorus and backstage crew must all attend this rehearsal without exception
We will be running through the entire show from beginning to end – dropping in some of the music that we are going to use and hopefully giving everyone a good idea of what it is all about.
And by running we mean – leaping on stage – doing your bit and going off again (and back on) where appropriate – This is not a sitting down lets listen to the story rehearsal – this is a lets get involved and on with it rehearsal.
The Chorus should come along with some kind of character in mind (loud brash and funny) – and use them when going on and off stage with silly walks, limps etc – you should bring along a loud voice.
Principals and other named parts – You have all had scripts and hopefully you have looked at them (oh yes you have) – Please come prepared to read (at speed) whilst you dash on and off – bring your characters and funny voices – come on when the script calls for it and off again when it says so (whatever exits and entrances you wish to use). If your not sure of your character yet – don’t worry – just chose one and bring it along – make sure its loud, brash and funny.
Please wear comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting messy as your wriggle about the floor, sensible shoes (not tap or dancing shoes required), a water bottle, and a sense of fun, adventure and wonderment.
